We have created the new Inventory report to help inventory management. It is available to you once you have enabled the paid Inventory management add-on feature.
You can access the inventory report from the Inventory management menu by selecting Inventory report (Inventory management > Inventory report).
You can retrieve Purchase or Sales products to the report. This choice does not have effects on the search result; it specifies which products are displayed in the Product name menu.
Select the time interval for viewing the inventory status. The Inventory events time period displays the date starting from which transactions are viewed. The value of inventory is calculated according to the latter date in the time interval, the Stock balance date field.
You can limit the search criteria by Product group or Product name and code.
The value of inventory can be calculated in two different ways. When using the Fifo method, the price is retrieved from transactions/invoices and when using Register price, the price is retrieved from the purchase register. If you choose Register price, a new option, Include discounts, appears.
In the first search result window, you can sort the search results according to the column headers. You can see the product data in the search result. The product group of the purchase product appears in the Product group column if one has been specified for the product. You can see the inventory stock of the product, unit price of the product calculated based on which inventory valuation option you chose, and the total value of products.
The margin percentage is calculated for the entire history of the product up to the Stock balance date you selected. The search result also displays the turnover rate of the product. The turnover rate is calculated for the entire history of the product up to the Stock balance date you selected.
You can view the inventory transactions of the product in more detail by clicking the product name in the Purchase product name column. You can also sort the results in the second search result window by clicking the column headers. In this second search result window, you can drill down into product cards or receipt. The Additional information column displays additional information about manual inventory transactions.
You can export the report data to Excel by clicking the Export data button. In this case, the report displays all of the products in the first search window with the accuracy of the data in the second search criteria window.
