In the Product register, it is possible to use two-levelled product groups, i.e. the main group principle.
The main group is a higher level product group, to which you can join ordinary product groups only, not products directly. A product group can belong to one main group only. The purpose of the feature is to make the management of large product registers easier.
The Main groups view becomes available in the product register for adding and deleting main groups.
When you add main groups, you must name them and define whether they are sales or purchase main groups. Product groups can be joined to or separated from main groups in the Product groups view. Select the main group you want to join the product group to from the drop-down menu of the main group column. You can separate the product group from the main group by selecting “blank”.
You can use the main group as a search condition in several register searches.
