This report allows you to monitor and compare income and expenses allocated to products and business partners by dimension item. Register-dimension reporting can be found in the section Reports Register-dimension reporting.
Report search criteria
In the Time period search criteria menu, you can choose whether to view the report data
- For the current financial period
- For the current year
- For the previous 6 months
- For the previous financial period
You may also retrieve data from a specified time interval. Enter the start and end date in the Start and End fields manually or using Calendar-view and click the Select period button to activate the selection. If a financial year has not been set for the period in question, the dates of the Time period search criteria will be highlighted in red. Financial years are set in Management > Accounting info > Financial years.
In the Compared time period search criteria menu, you can choose the time interval of the period to compare. Note that the comparison period is not displayed in the first graph of the report.
The available options include:
- Same for previous year
- Previous financial year
- manually entered comparison period
If you want to enter the desired comparison period yourself, remember to click the Select period button to activate the selection. If a financial year has not been set for the period in question, the dates of the Time period search criteria will be highlighted in red. Financial years are set in Management > Accounting info > Financial years.
The Comparison period is only displayed on the report once you have activated the selection by clicking on the Show or hide data for comparison period button.
The available options in the Receipt type search criteria are:
- Sales invoices
- Travel invoices
- Expense invoices
- Purchase invoices
Please note that the report does not show receipt types that do not exist in the environment.
In the Receipt status search criteria menu, you can select Business transactions and/or Other transactions. Business transactions refer to receipts with the status Not sent, Sent, Paid, Approved, Partly paid, Marked paid and Invoiced.
Other search criteria on the report include:
- Product group(s)
- Partner group(s)
You can select a search criteria by clicking on the appropriate product/product group/item. You can select several search criteria by clicking on individual options or highlighting consecutive options with the left mouse button. The box in front of the names selected for the report will turn light.
There is an eraser icon, or Clear selections button, at the top right corner of these search criteria windows. With this button, you can clear the selections made in the window in question.
Dimensions and items are selected in the Dimension search criteria window. By clicking the triangle, you can manually select the dimension, after which the dimension items are found in the search window. For items with no transactions, the selection box is blacked out. You can select a maximum of 20 items to be displayed at once. When 1–20 items are selected, also unallocated ones are included in the search results. You can remove the unallocated ones by clicking the Remove unallocated button.
The Clear selections button under the entire search criteria menu clears all of the selections made on the report.
Register-dimension reporting is updated approximately once every three hours between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. The most recent update time is displayed in the top left corner of the report.
The data in the upper Development graph can be selected to be displayed by quarter instead of month. The Development graph shows the data on the selected product and partner data as a sum in a bar chart. The graph is therefore most appropriate for viewing a single product and/or business partner.
The report information can also be viewed by product or partner by selecting the corresponding icon at the top right corner of the graph. Clicking on the To details button will allow you to view receipt row information in accordance with the search criteria. The report only displays information on the accounts in the income statement.
Please note that if a product/partner is not in Procountor’s product register but has been entered manually on an invoice, the product will be displayed on the report as N/A. The same applies if a product row has been copied onto the invoice.
The lower tables display the products and partners of the selected dimension by item in separate tables. The tables display the selected review period and selected comparison period. With the Change order button, you can change the order of the data in the table to display all the products for an item instead of all the items for a product. The same can be done in the partners table. The By group button displays the data by product group or partner group.
Similarly to graphic reports, the data can be exported to Excel using the Excel button.
