This walk-through guide explains how to fill in the Salary info and the Salary base, which can be found in the Employee info under menu section Salaries.

Selecting the employee in the Employee info view
The employee’s basic information is updated in Payroll > Salaries (old) > Employee info.
Select the person from the list and click the Show salary info button to go to the Edit person’s salary info view.
In the opened view, fill in the fields in red and the information in the Person’s info section.
Select the employment type from the drop-down menu, e.g. Trainee.
Add the employment start date. The employment start date is a mandatory entry.
In the Salary info, enter the amount of the Base salary in Euros, select the base salary type (e.g. 1 month, Hourly salary, Commission) that affects the constant rows of the salary base, and enter the amount of hours belonging to the base salary.
In the Taxing information section you can enter the Tax municipality, select the Tax card type, enter the tax percentage, annual income limit and income from other salaries, and tick the box that specifies whether the tax card is a revised tax card or not.
In the Pension information, select the pension insurance company and the Employees’ Pension Act-employment relationship start date.
Trade union information
Trade union entries are for information only and do not affect any functions in the system.
Holiday salary info
Applying holiday salary info in calculations requires that salary periods have been implemented.
When the salary basic info has been entered, close the view, keep the same person selected and click the Show salary base button.
Adding a salary type to the Salary base
The Salary base view shows the person’s salary base as created from the person’s salary info.
The Salary base is intended as the basis for salary slips. In the Salary base, you should therefore enter only rows that are expected to occur in all or most of the salary slips. These types of rows can be for example mobile phone allowance, car allowance or trade union fee.
Use the Salary type search button to search salary type Mobile phone allowance.
Use search word “mobile” and click the Search salary types button. Select row Mobile phone allowance, and it is added as salary row in the Salary base.
When you have completed the salary base information, save and close the salary base. Then you can start creating the salary slip.
