The collection and penalty fees report allows monitoring of customer's accumulated collection and penal expenses. The report makes it possible to view customer's uninvoiced and invoiced collection and penal expenses.
The collection and penal expense report is enabled under Usage settings in the Collection and penal expenses settings by activating the option Is the automatic handling of collection and penal costs enabled? Also fill in the other information in the Collection and penal expenses settings. You must first create products for collection and penal expenses in the Sales product register, after which you can add the products to the Collection and penal expenses settings.
Note! The collection and penal expense products must be created and saved in the Collection and penal expenses settings for the data to be included in the report.
The collection and penalty fee report is found in the Sales menu > Sales reports.
You must first define a time interval for the report during which the collection and penal interest expense was generated. Then, select the customer group and/or customers whose data you want to view. Customer group is the Registry information Report group in the Customer’s basic information. The data for a deleted customer group and customer is compiled into a single row, with the expense data displayed as total sums. For example, if the customer has been marked as passive but not all collection and penal expenses have been invoiced to the customer, the uninvoiced expenses are displayed in the report.
Note! If the Penal expense date margin in Usage settings has been set as 2, for example, interest begins to accumulate only once the payment is 2 days overdue. Invoicing only begins from that time.
Penal expenses, i.e. interest and collection expenses arising from sending a payment reminder, can be selected from the expense types. The statuses that can be selected are invoiced or uninvoiced.
The first search result displays the customer’s name, customer group and both expense types, as well as the total sum, as separate columns.
You can click the customer’s name to open another search result window below. This search result window displays an itemization of the penal expenses. The No of reminders column displays the number of payment reminders sent to the customer regarding the invoice. The Interest days column displays the days of interest. From the Invoice no column, you can drill down into the original invoice from which the collection and penal expenses were generated. The Invoiced in column, on the other hand, indicates the numbers of the invoices whose generated collection and penal expenses have been invoiced, separated by commas. You cannot drill down into these invoices directly from the report, but you can quickly access the invoice by entering the invoice number in the search field at the top left corner of Procountor.
